Âdes: small flat brass sequins, 4 mm across with a centre hole, in a 25 g bag — the metal that goes with majboud in the fetla embroidery of the karakou and the caftan. Brass, not plastic. Sew them on one at a time or in a row, through the centre hole, to scatter points of light along the cord.
Brass sequins bought in Istanbul, under the El Fetla label.
