Description
A large 40 cm jewel appliqué for a caftan, karakou, blouza or tesdira gown: a rosette at the centre, with branches of leaves running out on each side. Each leaf is a large champagne-coloured navette stone, claw-set in a gold-tone mount and edged with a row of small clear rhinestones; the stems are gold-tone rhinestone chains, and a large round clear stone marks the heart of the rosette. The piece can be cut between the branches: one appliqué makes a front, or several motifs for the sleeves and shoulders. Heat-set back: apply it with an iron, under a pressing cloth and without steam, and a few stitches of clear thread make it firmer.
